San Terenzo

Populous and pleasant village with very ancient origins. With its good position , where sea and beach appear merged eith the houses, San Terenzo has mantained its ligurian charm.
At the eastern part there is the castle: a quadrangular fort of the late Middleage, built on the top of a hill overlooking the sea.
The parish church was built around the 17th Century on the ruins of an older one, it's dedicated to Saint Mary Virgin, celebrated on the 8th September, and it contains a Domenico Gare's bassorilievo, a plate of the “ Madonna dell'Arena” of the 15th Century and two big paintings by Domenico Fiasella.

In its modern development San Terenzo has a large beach right in front of the multicoloured hauses, a promenade at the west side, behind fashinating rocks and the tower of the Castle and the promenade “ from Castle to Castle”, which joins the villages San Terenzo Lerici.
